How to Perform COLS

  1. Check & Call for Help
    • Confirm the person is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
    • Dial the emergency number immediately.
  2. Start Chest Compressions
    • Place the heel of one hand at the center of the chest.
    • Place the other hand on top and interlock your fingers.
    • Push hard and fast at a rate of 100–120 compressions per minute.
  3. Don’t Stop Until Help Arrives
    • Maintain consistent, uninterrupted compressions.
